“But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.” Is 40:33
I just learned some very interesting facts about eagles. No wonder the bible makes reference to us as eagles instead of a turkeys or chickens
Eagles got great eyes sight, they can spot a rabbit in the heart of the Forrest from 2 miles up, they are the only animal who can look straight at the sun. Their greatest enemy is the condor, when an eagle is under attack it does need to stay and fight because it can out fly its enemy, it would just take aim at the sun and soar, the condor just have to give up because he can not look at the light.
If the eagle’s beak or claws get infected, it would beat up against a hard surface until it fall off, then take a cool water dip, aim for the sun and soar, this is how it rejuvenate itself.
As believers we have some of the same abilities as the eagles, we have the abilities to renew ourself when worn out, we can soar higher and see better.
When the enemy attack us, we just soar higher aiming for Jesus, He is our light, the enemy can not look at the light so he has choice but to flee. When difficulties come our way, it may be painful to beat that infection out, but that’s how we build patience and endurance. That’s how we renew ourself in the love of God, from there you can’t help but fly higher and grow stronger.
Now sing with me: “I believe I can fly, I believe I can touch the sky, I think about it every night and day, Spread my wings and fly away, I believe I can soar, I see me running through that open door…”
Can you see yourself running through that open door?
