Looking Back

Hi!
How was everybody's Christmas?

Ours was great! I'm so grateful for this year. As I shared before since the aftermath of losing my marriage, Christmas, holidays, birthdays haven't been the easiest times but GOD!

For the first time in a long time I can say we truly had a great time celebrating Christmas with a joyful heart.

What's different you ask? God's supernatural healing!

It was such a blessing, seeing my girls opening their presents and the look on their faces...

Pure JOY!

I was so happy to have my table filled with love and laugher again. I lost some friends and family but God didn't waste any time filling the spaces with new ones.

When you have faith to let go God will reward you with a new hello. Isn't that the truth?

Looking back at 2014, I can honestly say it was a great year. The tides are turning and 2015 is going to be one exciting year. He is restoring all that had been stolen yo a hundred fold.

That's a mighty God!

How was your 2014?

Ways to earn extra cash before Christmas Tip 12: Cut back on spending #12daysOfChristmas

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Merry Christmas!

Only 2 days till Christmas! I hope we are doing more celebrating and less stressing.

I hope everyone is having a great time getting ready for Christmas, wrapping gifts, making final tweak to the menu and most of all having FUN.

For the past few weeks I have been sharing ways to earn cash for the holidays, in a series of blog posts. In this series I promise to share some ways you can earn some extra cash before the big day.

Quite frankly these tips can help you earn cash year round.

Today's tip is the last one of the series, day 12 and the tips is:

Cut back on spending

Best way to earn some extra cash it to not spend it all, but still find ways to get everything you need on less money.

How will you do that?

Research before buying, just because the deals says prices are slash 50% off doesn't mean it's a good deal. sometimes the prices are raised 50% off then slash so you're actually paying the same.

Research, research, research!

If you take the time to research your purchases it will also help minimize those impulse buys.

Cut back on cell phone bills.

Nowadays, there are so many options your cell phone bill does not have to be over $100 anymore.

3 years ago I broke up with Verizon after our 10 year run and went to Straighttalk who knew??
I get everything I need for a third of the price. I went from a $120 bill to a $48 bill that's an extra $72 a month raise I give myself automatically. Again research the options to see which plan works best for you.

Cut back on cable bills

Do you really need all these useless channels? I didn't!
Again 3 years ago I broke with directTV, sign up for netflix and bought a ROKU. Best decision I ever made. I went from $150 cable bill to a measly $9 a month, that's an extra $141 a month raise I give myself automatically.

Aside from the monetary value of this decision I save so much time by not flipping through all these junk TV I use to waste my time watching, I increase productivity, and have more time for important stuff.

Cut back on groceries bills

Take the time you're saving from NOT watching junk TV and allocate it to couponing. You can save so much at the grocery store if you have the right coupons.

Another unconventional way to save money on food is to grow your own! I understand this is not for everyone but if your thumb is feeling green why not?

I bought a Tower garden at the beginning of year, yes it was a pretty big investment up front but it the long run it is saving me so much on organic food.

I grow all my green veggies, salads, sweet peppers, cucumber and tomatoes on my tower.

Organic stuff doesn't last, so often my things will go bad before I use them. wasting my hard earn dollars, now I just snip what I need right off my tower garden.

What are some fun ways are you using to cut back?

Sell your service: Bake for friends

Fun fact about the holidays there's a lot of baking to be done. With friends and families pouring in, in laws to impress, a lot of people tend to outsource their baking needs. I often use outside help for baking myself. I know a lot of people who does the same.

So if you know your way around the kitchen and love to bake. This could be a great way for you to reel in some cash for the holidays.

My girlfriend just started doing that, and a lot of our mutual friends are using her services.

Why not you?

She bakes cupcakes on demand, pies, fruitcake, pineapple upside down are her specialty and people are really going for it.

it works great, since it's on demand, she doesn't have to keep stuff that may go to waste she gets the order and she bakes it.

If you are anything like her, this could be a great way for you to have fun in the kitchen while earning some cash for the holidays.

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is fast approaching, I hope everyone is having a great time getting ready for Christmas. For the past few weeks I have been sharing ways to earn cash for the holidays, in a series of blog posts. In this series I promise to share some ways you can earn some extra cash before the big day.

Today is day 10 and the tips is:

Sell your service: Pet sitting

Yesterday the tip was babysitting, today's tip is similar: Pet Sitting

Again with the holidays also come a lot of traveling and families with pets are left scrambling trying to find a safe place to leave their fury buddies.

if this is your kinda thing, you can start offering your pet sitting services to friends, families, and neighbors.

To a pet owner it is such a relief to know that your fury friend is in a warm environment
with someone they know instead of some expensive boarding house.

I have a lady at church who does that. She's watch my dog and several other friend in multiple occasion when we had to be out of town.

she charge half of what the boarding house would charge and the level of care she provides is so much better.

So if you are a pet lover who doesn't mind having a few fury friends around you can certainly cash out on it during the holidays.

Win-win

Ho! Ho!

Today is day 9 and the tips is:

Sell your service: Baby Sitting

Fun fact about the holidays is there's a lot of parties and outing, school is close and with that a lot of families with small children are left scrambling trying to find a sitter.

if this is your kinda thing, you can start offering your baby sitting service to friends, families and neighbors.

My mom does that and she is certainly pocketing a few coins for the holidays.

This is certainly not for everyone. You definitely have to have a knack for it. My mom is a retired teacher, she crave children around her, so for her it's a win-win.

For me it wouldn't be a great way to earn cash LOL but if you are anyway like my mom, it could be a win-win.

Ways to earn extra cash before Christmas Tip 8: Start a small MLM business #12daysOfChristmas

Ho! Ho! Ho!

Merry Christmas!

Christmas is fast approaching, I hope everyone is having a great time getting ready.
For the past few weeks I have been sharing ways to earn cash for the holidays (and even year round), in a series of blog posts. In this series I promise to share some ways you can earn some extra cash before the big day.

Today is day 8 and the tips is:

Start a small MLM/direct selling business

One quick way to earn some cash is to start a small MLM or direct selling business. Why? they are usually low investment with quick turn around, with very little work. They are great way to supplement your income.

There are so many out there, with some research you can easily figure out which one will fit your needs and lifestyle better.

The very popular ones : Mary Kay, Avon, JuicePlus, Amway, BeachBody etc...

I have a friend who sells Mary Kay, over the holidays she make pretty baskets with her Mary Kay products and distribute them at offices and local business.

Pretty clever way to move some products and earn 50% of the gross. NOT BAD!

I suppose the same could be done with Avon.

I myself is a direct distributor for JuicePlus, I found it a great way to help people lead a healthy lifestyle and also earn a supplemental income all year round but especially around the Holidays. I lost my job back in May and JuicePlus and eBay has been my main source of income.
Just to say IT WORKS!

There are plenty of direct selling companies out there with great compensation to choose from. It all depends on your needs, lifestyle and how much time you want to invest.

Have you ever try direct selling, MLM business?

Ways to earn extra cash before Christmas Tip 7: Selling on craigslist and consignment stores #12daysOfChristmas

Ho! Ho!

Today is day 7 and the tips is 2 for 1:

Sell items on craigslist or consignment stores

Just like selling on Facebook, craigslist work the same way, like virtual yard sale.
Find all the stuff you want to sell, kids clothing and toys, electronics and whatnot

Take pictures of everything and write a good description, with clothing be sure to list measurements, condition, color and name you prices.

You can go from there and start receiving offers. Just like Facebook sales, craigslist transaction does require you to meet with your customers.
BE CAREFUL!!!
Meet in public places, if your spidey senses are tingling about an individual, you have to right to not do business with them. Use wisdom in dealing with folks online. Otherwise, selling used items on craigslist can help you earn some quick cash for Christmas.

Now for consignment selling, there are several local consignment shop that will buy good gently use clothing, shoes and handbag from local consumers.

Kids clothing are a big hit, because most of the times, children outgrew their clothes before they get full wear out of them. Places like Plato's closet will buy them from you at a discounted prices.
Do some research for your neighborhood and earn yourself some cash to cover the new clothes you have to buy. :)

Have you ever sell on Craigslist or Consignment?

This Christmas

Hi Guys!
How's the Christmas preparations coming along? I know I've been talking about making money a lot this pass week, so I think I'd take a money break this week end to actually ENJOY the season.

So I took the kids downtown to see the Christmas light and fake snow. We had a blast! I was the biggest kid, we ride the trolley around town and saw the 600 tons Christmas sand tree. It was the coolest things I've seen in a while.

Schedule snowfall, tree light show and water fountains dancing to the sound of music. It is truly magical. Our South Florida weather doesn't give us snow but we manage LOL

Who knows I could get this excited over fake snow?

I hope you are stopping and smelling the hot cocoa and not giving too much into the stress of the season.

Spend time with friends and family this is what they will truly remember.

How's your Christmas season coming along?

Ways to earn extra cash before Christmas Tip 6: Selling handcrafted items on Etsy #12daysOfChristmas

Hi guys!
I hope everyone is having a great time getting ready for Christmas. In this series I promise to share some ways you can earn some extra cash before the big day.

So far I've share 5 ways you can earn cash from things you already have. I mention having a garage sale, trade used items on the Amazon trading program, Selling on eBay, Selling on Amazon, Selling on Facebook, well today is day 6 of our series. earn cash by selling handcrafted items on Etsy

Etsy is a marketplace where people around the world connect to buy and sell unique goods. If you make things, or you're crafty and artsy Esty is for you. Esty is also huge on handmade, vintage items, art and supplies. You can earn some cash selling things like handmade jewelry, custom clothing, costumes etc...
I'm a huge Etsy consumer, I have gotten Tutus for my girls, custom labels, even design work for my blog.
So it's a matter of thinking outside the box. For example, this woman has taken her own stock photography, created a store on Etsy that opened in April. She has sold over 2,200 stock images since opening. At $15 an image she has earned 33k in 6 months with little to no work because I'm sure they are probably digital downloads. https://www.etsy.com/shop/KateMaxShop.
It is absolutely doable.

Have you ever sold or buy anything on Etsy?

Ways to earn extra cash before Christmas Tip 5: Selling on Facebook #12daysOfChristmas

Hi guys!
I hope everyone is having a great time getting ready for Christmas. In this series I promise to share some ways you can earn some extra cash before the big day.

Today is day 5, earn cash by selling used items on Facebook

On day 1 I share a tip on hosting  a garage sale to earn extra cash, but as it turn out, for some folks in the cold part of the world this may not be the best idea. in which case this one is for you!

Selling on Facebook. Facebook  is great for catching up with friends and family, but it is also a wonderful way to make money by selling items around the house you no longer need.

Facebook have local buying and trading groups, that works like virtual yard sale. There are several of them in my area, chances are you have one or several of these groups in your area too. Find a group, by searching for your city in the search box and then ask to join any of the groups that look interesting to you. If you cannot find a group, you can always start one yourself!

Find all the stuff you want to sell, kids clothing and toys, electronics and whatnot
(sometimes people would post things they would want to buy, if you have it.. JACKPOT!)

Take pictures of everything and write a good description, with clothing be sure to list measurements, condition, color and name you prices.

You can go from there and start receiving offers.

Be mindful that Facebook groups are public forums anyone can join, by anyone I mean sweet mom looking for kids items and creepys too.

Exercise caution! Always private message important info like phone number and location to interested parties. use public places for meets and exchange.

if your spidey senses are tingle about an individual, you have to right to not do business with them. BE CAREFUL!

Have you sold anything on Facebook before?

Amazon is one the largest marketplace on the web, and you can be a part of it.
The same items you can trade in for Amazon credit in the Amazon trade-in program, can also be sold for cash. All you need is a little research.

Gather your items, Books, DVDs, Video Game, Electronics, Toys, Collectibles etc... Amazon does have a much higher standard on used items than eBay does. Ways to earn extra cash before Christmas Tip 3: Selling on eBay #12daysOfChristmas

Hi guys!

Last time I share  tips on de-cluttering your home and make some cash in the process by having a garage sale and trading goods in the Amazon trade-in program

If garage sale or Amazon trade-in is not for you, here's another way you can Kill 2 birds with one stone, cut the clutter and make some cash to cushion your Christmas spending.

The best thing about  eBay is that you can sell anything! By anything I mean anything. The old adage "One man's trash is another man's treasure" really do come into play with eBay.
You can sell almost anything on eBay to earn some cash. From clothing, shoes, toys, stuffed animal, old collectibles, jewelry etc!

I have seen people selling pine comb, empty toilet paper roll, tumbleweed, empty Altoids boxes... especially now for the holiday, crafters needs these kinda stuff. So sky's the limit with eBay.

You do need an eBay account and Paypal account tie to it to start selling.

If you have any question on how to get started feel free to ask.
Have you sell on eBay before?

Ways to earn extra cash before Christmas Tip 1: Garage Sale #12daysOfChristmas

Hi guys!

I should have been posting these already but better late than never.

Can you believe Christmas is here already? I feel like I just got done with last year, Oh how time flies.

Nevertheless Christmas is my favorite time of the year, the colors, the food, the lights, the presents...

It's all great but we can't denied that Christmas can get very expensive. I've come up with a list of ways to earn some cash, to cushion all the fun stuff we like to do at Christmas time.

Tip 1: Host a garage sale

It's always a good idea to make room for the new stuff, one way to do that is to clean out the old stuff. Clothes we will never fit in, kids toys, they're in college for Pete sake! That junk we bought on the infomercial at 3:00 AM

yeah...

Some of the stuff we keep around are barely used, they're just hogging up spaces.

Why not clean it out for some cash?

Look out for tips in the next few days. Have a tips on how to earn some cash? Please share!
