Thanks Giving recap #30DaysOfGivingThanks

Hola Chicas!
It has been such a fun month of Thanks Giving and counting my blessings. It is so amazing to see how rich we actually are once we take the time to be thankful for the things we already have.

The night before Thanks Giving my fellowship team went out to feed the homeless and give them basic things like toiletries and blankets. It was like God was smiling down at us in the park in this amazing sunset. I was so grateful to be a part of this outreach, makes me so thankful for my home, food, and clothing. These people were over the moon grateful for a plate of food and some basic toiletries. What a way to put things in perspective

Upon arriving home that night, our South Florida fall weather was cool enough for us to light up the fire pit outside. It was so much fun roasting/burning marshmallows over the fire with the kiddos.

... and the day has come for the cooking fiesta!
My 6 year old daughter, made the stuffing, with me dictating the recipe. She did all the adding, mixing and tasting :) with the added bonus of a whole lotta mess of course.

I had suggested to my kids that we go to Disney for the holidays, but it melt my heart that they'll rather spend the day cooking and setting up our Christmas tree.

I'm such a proud momma, my 5 year old daughter bake the pies and cupcakes all I had to do is read the recipe. She did all the measuring, stirring with an added bonus of a lotta mess. LOL it it was so much fun!
We harvested our collard right of my tower garden for our green dish

We made gluten free cupcakes
Pumpkin pies

Dinner rolls

Little bug had so much fun rolling LOL

... and that was my favorite part! Sitting with my pumpkin scented candle burning in front of the Christmas tree!

I'm so grateful for my family, my friends, my home, my God who provide, take care of me and love me beyond measure!

I'm officially in full blown Christmas mode. Deck the Halls. Caroling. reindeer hats. ugly red sweater. The whole shebang!

How was your thanksgiving? What's for Christmas?

I'm grateful for letting go #30DaysOfGivingThanks

Can you believe I still have cute little ducky print pajamas from college?

That I still wear?

Yeah...

One might say I have a bit of an issue with letting go.

If I'm working on a craft, or sewing something and I mess up instead of throwing in out I would come up with gazillion ways to re-purpose my project before I throw it out.

This process usually cost me more time, more material and more time than not I still ended having to throw it away cause it didn't work.

I've go issues!

Change is hard, letting go is not easy.

There are times to dig your heels in and fight, but there are time the best fight you can put up is letting go.

unfortunately, I'm still working on learning the difference.

They say that some people are in your life for a season, some for a reason, some to stay. if we're not careful we try to turn the season people into permanent one and that's a bad idea.

because they come with an expiration date and pass their due date they can be detrimental to your future.

I had this happen to me, I held on to someone way past their due date in my life and it ended up being a very expensive mistake.

Throughout this ordeal one thing I learned is that if you have faith enough to say goodbye, God will bless you with a new hello!

and for that I'm grateful!

When I was desperate, I called out,
and God got me out of a tight spot.

I'm grateful for health #30DaysOfGivingThanks

Today I'm grateful for health. Sometimes we can take so much for granted, we don't realize we have something until it's GONE!

Waking up everyday, breathing on your own, being pain free is something to be celebrated!

Something to praise God about.

Even if you didn't have anything else... Health is enough!

This is hitting close to home for me, and I'm totally preaching to myself. I have been focusing so much on all the things that are going wrong in my life and forgetting the ones that are going RIGHT.

This week only I have gotten report of 5 people in my inner circle who have just been diagnose with some form of cancer (Let me just say cancer can kick rocks). Two of which are undergoing major surgery today.

Join me in prayer for them today!

We are no better than they are! I'm no better than they are! I didn't do anything to deserve being  healthy.

And for that I'm GRATEFUL!

Let's not wait to appreciate what we have until it's gone.

What are you grateful for?
