Hola Chicas!
It's almost Christmas and I am super exicted, yes I'm the kinda person who put up my Christmas tree right after dinner on Thanksgiving day, watch all the corny cute puppy talking christmas movies :).
Aside from the lights, the food, the music, the presents the main reasons why I love Christmas are: It's Jesus birthday of course and it's the end of the year, and the prospect of starting something new.
Everywhere you turn it, Christmas has HOPE written all over it, I love the idea of closing this chapter and starting anew. The past 2 years must have been the hardest times of my life, my marriage went up in flame, I lost my job, had to take up an 1 hour and a half commute, watch my babies suffer the aftermath of my broken home *deep breath* for lack of better words let's just say it's been hard but I love this line in Eclesiates that says
"this too shall pass"!
No matter how crappy the highlights of the year has been, looking back I can still say I'm blessed, highly favored and I will rejoice!
God has provided more than I could ever ask, in the midst of everybody losing their jobs I got a better one, in the midst of everybody piling on debt I got out of debt, in the midst of brokenheartedness God gave me JOY and Peace, in the midst of it all God's perfect Christmas present keeps on giving.
The hope that the birth of Christ brings is a cause to REJOICE!
I love what Christmas symbolised, I love the ending of the year and the HOPE of a new and better one.
No matter how your year went...
Today I invite you to REJOICE just because it's Christmas!
You are so right..."THIS TOO SHALL PASS"! Beautiful testimony! Blessings to you and yours!

When we're in the midst of storms it's so hard to see the rainbow at the end. We forget that the Bible urges us to give praise during the good times and the bad because this too shall pass. I've been learning to remind myself of that during hard times. This Christmas, I am definitely rejoicing because God has brought my family and I a looooonnnggg way!
ReplyDeleteAmen! Thank you Lynn *hugs*
ReplyDeleteYay! We serve a God who is in the business of bringing people from a long way, and He is no respecter of persons! Praise God
ReplyDeleteGirlllll, you definitely did not share "too much" !! Abba desires that our entire life be a living sacrifice!!! Thank YOU for being transparent with me. This truly was a blessing!
ReplyDelete"I remain confident in this, that He who began the good work in me, will continue until the day of Christ Jesus" -phil 1:6
FAVOR, provision, and peace all around u sis!! :)
Your fellow BLMgirl and Sister-in-Christ,

While Christmas isn't my favorite holiday, the symbolism is one to celebrated. #blmhop
